Sutton Jazz Club
The Thomas Wall Centre

Benhill Avenue, Sutton, Surrey

7.00 pm to 10.00 pm

Sutton Jazz Club was formed by Pat and Neville Dickie in 1989 and originally ran as a weekly Jazz Club. In 1995 the Club switched to monthly sessions and has never looked back.

The Club is devoted to Traditional and Mainstream Jazz and has a resident trio comprising Neville Dickie (piano),  Terry Lewis (bass), who replaces Micky Ashman, and Norman Davey (drums). Top class musicians from the United States, Europe, Australia and, of course, Great Britain, join them each month.

The Club is renowned for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere - all the finest musicians  love to play at this wonderful venue.

Sutton Jazz Club was as famous for its large tasty buffet as it is for its music. The customers actually arranged to have their Sunday lunch early to leave  room for Neville's famous prawn vol-au-vents. However, the buffet has now been replaced by a wide choice of hot food, such as fish, chicken, pastie, meat pie, saveloy, or vegeburger, all served with chips.

Pat and Neville are great animal lovers and  the Club is associated with various animal charities and has raised enough money to buy two Guide Dogs For The Blind. It also sponsors two dogs through the NCDL and each month the Club members do their bit by bringing  tins of pet food, which are delivered to London Wildcare
